Martin is an Interdisciplinary Designer and educator. He grew up in Germany where he founded his Design Studio before moving to New Zealand to study and practice Industrial Design. Martin has worked in various design disciplines, creating furniture, graphics, products, data visualizations & interiors. He has developed creative e-learning courses, Design thinking workshops and managed maker-spaces.
Emily Copp works with diverse materials and technologies in the field of contemporary jewellery & objects. Emily is a Resident Artist, Tutor and Director at SquarePeg Studios contemporary jewelley studio & school alongside her work as a Technical Officer & Sessional Academic at UNSW Art & Design.
Karam is the Team Leader of the Makerspace and digital fabrication. He has skills in 3D modelling, 3D printing, 3D scanning, laser cutting and CNC. He is experienced in the Adobe Suite. From his background in sculpture he has both metal and wood fabrication skills, and experience in designing and fabricating mechanical and electronic interactive sculptures.
Alexandra Byrne is an Artist and Senior Technical Officer at UNSW Art & Design. A hands-on maker, Alex has combined her intimate knowledge of artmaking with over 25 years experience working in technical roles within arts education & community arts organisations (spanning ceramics, drawing, installation, jewellery, metal & wood fabrication, painting, photography, print, sculpture and textiles.
I have over 20yrs experience of working with and teaching all things clay. I have an MVA from Sydney college of the Arts and have worked in numerous tertiary institutions and TAFE. I have a keen interest in Glaze technology and specialise in Printing on Clay techniques. I have a variety of industry experience working for ceramic artists and ceramic supply companies. My clay knowledge is broad and extensive, so please feel free to ask me anything!
