Writing Around Sound launch

Writing Around Sound, Australasia’s only regular dedicated sonic arts print journal is inviting the public to its inaugural Australian launch.
This event celebrates the release of the third issue of the journal with talks, performances and presentations by members of UNSW Art & Design’s Sound, Energies and Environments Research Group.
Writing Around Sound’s editors and UNSW PhD candidates Jo Burzynska and Richard Keys will open proceedings soon after 6pm with an introduction to the journal and its theme: Contemporary Sound Object.
The evening will feature live performances by Nathan Thompson and Kynan Tan, the latter who contributed text, sound and visual works to Writing Around Sound 3. Jo Burzynska will also present her multisensory wine and sound work, Oenosthesia.
Entry is free and copies of Writing Around Sound 3 will be available for purchase for $10 at the event or online here.
