Steve is a full time academic in Media Arts at the University of New South Wales Australia, Faculty of Art and Design. He lectures in Animation at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and is a recipient of the Dean's Teaching Award for Sustained Teaching Excellence for 2008, and again in 2013.
Izabela Pluta is an artist and academic with an interest in expanded photographic practice. She completed her undergraduate studies in Fine Art at The University of Newcastle (2002), an MFA at UNSW Art & Design (2009) and has a PhD from the School of the Arts, English and Media at The University of Wollongong (2017).
Debra Phillips studied at Sydney College of the Arts, The University of Sydney, completing a Master of Visual Arts (Research) in 1990. Although photography is central to her practice, Phillips’ work also ranges across other forms such as sculptural objects, moving images, artist’s multiples and printed matter (including books, prints and newspapers).
Karen Kriss is an artist, animator and lecturer at UNSW Art and Design. Previously Karen has over 10 years of experience in the Animation and Visual effects industry including Head of Production Management, Visual Effects Producer, Digital Producer (Mr.X Toronto, CA), Senior Production Coordinator (Animal Logic, Sydney, Aus) and Animator and CG Artist (BDE/ BII Sydney, Aus).
Associate Professor Caleb Kelly is an academic, event director and curator working in the area of the sound arts. He is a researcher within the National Institute of Experimental Arts in UNSW Art & Design.
In 2009 he published his first book, entitled Cracked Media: The Sound of Malfunction, through MIT Press. He has also edited Sound (MIT Press and Whitechapel Gallery in London), part of the Documents of Contemporary Art series. Kelly's third book entitled, Gallery Sound was published by Bloomsbury Academic in 2017.
Dr Rebecca Green (Becky) is a graphic designer, illustrator and academic. She has taught graphic design, image production and user experience design at Queensland universities and in Hong Kong since 2008.
